Valencian cultural heritage comprises assets that form a legacy to be transmitted in the best conditions to current and future generations. The Valencian tile represents design in our land; it is a ceramic representation ornamented with geometric, plant and floral patterns of our sea, our mountains, our monuments and our traditions.
We are about to begin some new workshops at the CCCC (Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporánea)! These workshops can be enjoyed on 4 different dates, with 15 places available in each session, which must be reserved in advance by registering via the museum website.
Sessions from 10 a.m. to 12 noon
- 8 May
- 15 May
- 22 May
- 29 May
On this occasion, we present an educational project to enable people of all ages to appreciate the geometry of Valencian tiles. We will invite attendees to trace a tile design onto a piece of ceramic.
We present an educational project in which people of all ages can experiment with the geometry of Valencian tiles.

We will experience the process of designing and creating typical Valencian tiles, painting by hand the lines so characteristic of 20th century ceramics in Valencia. These designs were mainly used to adorn the façades of many modernist houses of the era.
This experience will enable us to become familiar with a very valuable aspect of Valencian tradition. At the end of the workshop, you will have your own design: a piece that will form part of your home and of your historical, artistic and cultural heritage.
