The horta of Valencia. An edible landscape that has accompanied and fed the city since its foundation. It is a living historical map that still contains the traces of those who worked on it. Now the challenge is to design its future: let’s start by playing and learning with its rich complexity.
A collective effort in continuous transformation where the design and management of irrigation have been fundamental in its adaptability to different times. Thus crops of cereals, mulberry trees, orange trees or seasonal vegetables have followed one another until the present.
We encourage you discover the garden of València through a visual and playful workshop that can be done collectively or individually. Building your own special and unique ping pong racket with engraved fragments of the Valencian garden. You will decide what to grow by adhering vinyl cutouts to designing and composing your garden patch.
At the end of the workshop you will be able to play informal games of ping pong. Which rackets will be optimal to play and which are more beautiful? Designing is asking and answering questions, as well as making decisions to find brilliant solutions.
The Ping Pong Horta workshops will be held on November 9 and 16 in the Gothic Cloister of the Palauet de Notilla (Meliana) from 10:00 to 12:00 hours.
Entry is free but requires prior registration: hola@turismecarraixet.com
