ENCOUNTER. “Round table of success stories on design and recycling”

The round table of success stories on design and recycling will be held on December 14 at the World Design Capital Valencia space at Veles e Vents and will address the treatment of waste, how companies make productive use of them, what efforts they make to minimize them, or how design contributes to waste reduction.

The conference, organized by EMTRE and World Design Capital Valencia 2022, will be moderated by María Navarro from the Association of Designers of the Valencia Region (ADCV) and will be attended by Sara Bort (Director of EMTRE), Xavi Calvo (Director of World Design Capital Valencia 2022) and the following companies:

• FUENTE PRIMAVERA, which participates by highlighting its ecodesign policy and ecolosophy.
• CARTONAJES LAPLANA will show how cardboard can be used in a multipurpose way to give three-dimensional, practical, multipurpose elements, which are transported flat, and now serve to give durable pieces such as those presented during the World Design Street Festival 2022.
• ACTIU will show how by recycling orange crates it is possible to design a 100% recycled chair like the FLUIT.
• ZUMEX will share how the waste from squeezed oranges is now used as a key resource in 3D printing in a project in collaboration with Lowpoly, and which is very interesting.
