EXHIBITION. “Bocairent al color de les danses”

The exhibition “Bocairent: Al color de les Danses” brings together the entire collection of posters of the summer festivities of Bocairent since 1994 by Toni Vañó Cabanes, until this year’s poster by Jorge Lawerta, which will be presented shortly before the opening of the exhibition on July 8, 2022.

During all these years, different professionals have been sought to offer their vision of the festival and graphically highlight the peculiarities that they deem appropriate. To do this, on several occasions they have been invited to attend the festivities in advance so that they can get to know them first hand and in turn have a whole year ahead of them for their creations.

During the week of Les Festes d’Estiu a catalog will be presented, which is also being prepared with all the images and materials of the work process, and for the closing there will be a workshop for school children on “Posters+Festivals”.

Finally, after 2 years of suspension of the festivities, this summer the people of Bocairent will be able to dance again and also premiere, apart from this exhibition: the square, renovated in 2020 and where the xirimita and tabal have not yet been heard, and also the recent declaration of these Danses as a good of intangible cultural interest.
