The National Museum of Decorative Arts (MNAD), a state-owned museum under the Ministry of Culture and Sport, presents the exhibition “Ximo Roca. Mediterranean Design”, which traces the professional life of the Valencian creator, from his beginnings in the 80s to his most current designs. As a designer for different firms and at the head of his own design studio since 1989, Ximo Roca has managed to mark his own style, tackling industrial, graphic and interior design projects.
Ximo Roca’s creative process involves, for each new piece, a period of research that combines the needs of the market and his own vision, drawing inspiration for each design from natural, cultural and architectural elements. Ximo Roca, who uses materials such as steel, wood, fabrics and porcelain, has specialized in furniture, especially in the creation of chairs.
“Ximo Roca. Mediterranean Design” will be on view on the first floor of the museum free of charge between December 16, 2022 and March 12, 2023.
