EXHIBITION. “Mans i màquines. Apunts ceràmics”
Universitat Jaume I
Throughout its history, the ceramics industry has always understood that form and function are complementary in its products. In some way, art and ceramic design are close but they occupy parallel positions (that is, they may take their inspiration from similar sources, but they follow their routes individually). In this exhibition we want to establish the points at which the distance between these parallel lines is narrowed until it appears that they have become symbols of the same language.
In the light of all the above, the planned exhibition will show ceramic tiles from the Museu del Taulell Manolo Safont in Onda (including both anonymous pieces and others signed by 20th century artists) which will be compared with works (especially painting, but also sculpture and even artistic ceramics) contributed by the Museums of Vilafamés and L'Alcora.
