Inclusiva is a project that aims to disseminate and make visible the groups with visual and hearing diversity, using design as a learning tool. To bring them closer to the general public using as a premise the union of the written alphabet with the different ways that each of them have to represent it: dactilology (or dactylological alphabet) and Braille.
Supported in its development process by World Design Capital Valencia 2022, the event is contextualized within the line of work of “inclusive and social design” and “innovation through design” of Las Naves.
Attendees will be able to enjoy a talk with the participation of specialists in the field, which will focus on the relationship between design and these minority and minoritized communication systems. In turn, there will be a Sign Language interpreter to make the whole presentation as accessible as possible.
– A person specialized in Sign Language from the Federation of Deaf People of the Valencian Community (FESORD C.V.). Non-governmental, non-profit organization that works for the defense and empowerment of all deaf people and their families.
