The boys and girls of the Santiago Apóstol school, in the Cabañal neighbourhood, don’t have a decent playground in which to benefit from a space for social relations and amusement. With the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City Council of Valencia temporarily assigned a nearby plot of land to the school.
The secondary pupils of the school participated in the construction of this space with a project by Aprendizaje Servicio, together with people with mental health problems hired for the development of the project. ‘Zona Santiago, libre para jugar’ is the documentary that has followed the whole transformation process of this space.
