WORKSHOP. «Approaching Valencian tiles at Àgora València»

Valencian cultural heritage comprises assets that form a legacy to be transmitted in the best conditions to current and future generations. The Valencian tile represents design in our land; it is a ceramic representation ornamented with geometric, plant and floral patterns of our sea, our mountains, our monuments and our traditions.

We will experience the process of designing and creating typical Valencian tiles, painting by hand the lines so characteristic of 20^th century ceramics in Valencia. These designs were mainly used to adorn the façades of many modernist houses of the era.

This experience will enable us to become familiar with a very valuable aspect of Valencian tradition. At the end of the workshop, you will have your own design: a piece that will form part of your home and of your historical, artistic and cultural heritage.
