WORKSHOP. “Getting closer to Nolla mosaic”

Next September 10 Àgora València will host at 11:00 am an educational workshop on the Nolla mosaic by Arae Patrimonio. A family workshop, with a small audience, where we will discover in a practical way the design and application of one of the most widespread Valencian craft heritage around the world.

Nolla ceramics is the first high performance ceramic produced in Spain. From small geometric stoneware tesserae, complex mosaic-like compositions were formed. Its success crossed borders, reaching Cuba and the Philippines, and of course became part of the most modernist buildings in the city of Valencia. Discover the Nolla mosaic through a game with which you can enjoy the designs of the historic company Nolla. Using colored pieces, you will be able to recompose the geometric motifs of the catalogs or invent your own compositions. This experience will allow you to become familiar with this valuable Valencian heritage.
