Zeleros premieres hyperloop vehicle at Spain Pavilion Expo 2020 Dubai

Zeleros, the European company based in Valencia that develops a scalable hyperloop system, has premiered its hyperloop vehicle at the Spain Pavilion of Expo 2020 Dubai. It is the first time in history a hyperloop is exhibited in a World Exposition, and it has travelled more than 7000km from Valencia to Dubai, to showcase Zeleros’ pioneering approach to travel at 1000 km/h and 0 direct emissions.

For six months (October 2021 to March 2022), the vehicle will be exhibited at the Spain Pavilion of Expo 2020 Dubai, which will be the point of convergence for the global community, showcasing new ways of thinking to shape our post-pandemic world. With 200 hectares of venue area, 25 million people are expected to arrive and 70% will be international visitors.

This project is the result of the impulse of World Design Capital Valencia 2022, who selected the Zeleros Hyperloop in the public call for projects in 2020.

The creators of this spectacular model are the Valencian firm Océano Naranja,  a world reference company in the industrial prototypes and layout sector. The also Valencian Zeleros commissioned Mario de Alfonso, director, owner and alma mater of Océano Naranja, this giant model that has been made entirely in their workshops in Alboraya.

The model was publicly presented in March at the futuristic Museum of Sciences of the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia with the presence of the Minister of Science and Innovation of Spain, Mr. Pedro Duque. Now, the Océano Naranja team travels to Dubai to bring the Hyperloop prototype where it can be seen in the Spain pavilion at the Universal Expo 2020 in Dubai.

Spain has been active in hyperloop since 2015, with public and private parties promoting the creation of the world’s first hyperloop standardisation committee, coordinating European projects such as Hypernex and proposing the creation of a European hyperloop center in Spain to perform testing at high speeds.

Andreu World at Expo Dubai 2020

The Spanish brand Andreu World will equip the Spanish Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020 with its furniture, becoming one of the main sponsors of the Spanish presence at the Universal Exhibition.

The more than 300 pieces of furniture that Andreu World will provide for the indoor and outdoor areas of the Spain Pavilion at the Expo have been developed “from circular, resistant, durable and environmentally friendly materials, which minimize the ecological footprint ”. For this, they have worked with Acción Cultural Española team and the Amman-Canovas-Maruri studio “to be able to personalize the furniture through different finishes and measures, allowing it to adapt to each of the needs of the different areas of the Pavilion” .

As a pioneering Spanish brand in sustainability and design, Andreu World has been involved with its presence and action in equipping the Spanish Pavilion at Expo Dubai, which will be a global forum for collective reflection on a future more committed to the environment.
