ZETA Beer launches its redesigned labels featuring illustrations by Trampolín

A limited edition of ZETA Beer’s most iconic beverage, HELL-Bavarian Helles, will carry illustrations that are the result of work carried out by Trampolín with people with intellectual disabilities.

Four illustrations that are the fruit of the first product to come out of  Laboratorios de Codiseño (Codesign Labs), in which multidisciplinary teams of people with intellectual disabilities and creative professionals develop a product for a company. In this case, Trampolín has been working with a group of people at the Francisco Esteve Intermunicipal Trust, one of the centres with which the platform collaborates.

Trampolín is a liquid platform in which people with intellectual disabilities and professionals in the field of design and creativity come together to develop creative processes. The result of an open call for professionals launched by Valencia World Design Capital 2022, the project has been selected to form part of the Social Innovation programme of Valencia City Council and has garnered the support of other organisations such as the University of Valencia, Impresum and the Plena Inclusió CV Association.

The illustrations are a veritable ode to summer, a journey through the subconscious and an opportunity to relive the freedom and vitality of those wonderful summers of the 1990s. The legacy of our Valencian and Mediterranean graphic heritage blossoms forth in them, under the shade of Pepe Gimeno’s legendary palm tree, the tourist icon of the Community and winner of a National Design Award.

The initiative began with a briefing from the client, in which they explained the company’s values and culture to the team, who then set to work on their shared approach to the labels. “All of us at Trampolín would highlight that not only has a local company committed to design in a really brave way, but they have also shown that they believe in social responsibility and in a disruptive work process that adds considerable value to the product”, says La Casta.

Manuel Fuentes, a founding partner of Zeta Beer and master brewer, points out that this collaboration is another step in their commitment to projects that benefit the local community: “We are committed to fostering alliances with local companies, we already have several products in this line and the experience with Trampolín has been really interesting”.

Fuentes also stresses how enthusiastically the people at the Design Lab took part in the process. “We’ve seen that seeing their work become a real product for the first time has been an exciting experience for them”, the master craftsman explains.
